Why QT Imaging

Changing the Paradigm of Breast Imaging

The QT scan® characterizes and isolates certain tissue types based on speed of sound — producing true volumetric, quantitative 3D images that mammography simply cannot match. Especially powerful for dense breast tissue.

01 No RadiationZero ionizing radiation — screen more often, earlier, with complete peace of mind.

02 No CompressionComfortable and painless. No compression paddles, no discomfort.

03 True 3D ImagingHigh-resolution volumetric images — every cubic millimeter evaluated.

04 Superior for Dense Tissue

Expert eyes on every scan

Licensed Radiologist — QT Imaging Trained

Every scan is read by a licensed radiologist with specific training in QT Imaging interpretation — not a generalist, but a specialist in this technology. Your results are reviewed with the expertise this advanced imaging deserves.

Who should get QT Imaging?

Women with dense breast tissue

Where mammography is least effective, QT is most valuable.

Women with a family history of breast cancer

Earlier, more frequent screening without radiation risk.

Women who want proactive screening

Annual monitoring with zero radiation accumulation.

Those seeking a more comfortable alternative

No compression, no pain — just clear, accurate imaging.

Common Questions

QT Imaging FAQ

How is QT Imaging different from a mammogram, ultrasound, or breast MRI?

QT Imaging uses ultrasound -- not radiation -- to produce true 3D volumetric images of the entire breast without compression or contrast agents. Unlike mammography, it does not require ionizing radiation or painful compression. Unlike breast MRI, no gadolinium contrast is needed, and the scan is far more comfortable and accessible.

It is especially effective for dense breast tissue, where mammography is significantly limited. The system is automated and operator-independent, delivering consistent, repeatable results ideal for longitudinal monitoring over time.

Is QT Imaging FDA-cleared?

Yes. The QT Imaging Breast Acoustic CT™ system is FDA-cleared as a breast imaging device. It has undergone rigorous clinical evaluation and is used in accredited clinical settings across the United States.

FDA clearance confirms the system meets the safety and effectiveness standards required for use as a diagnostic imaging tool in a clinical environment.

Does insurance cover QT Imaging?

QT Imaging is not typically covered by traditional insurance plans, which are generally designed to cover illness treatment rather than advanced preventive screening.

Many clients use their HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) to offset costs, as QT Imaging may qualify as a medical expense under those plans. We recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator.

How long does the scan take?

The QT scan typically takes approximately 15--20 minutes per breast. The process is fully automated -- you simply rest comfortably while the system acquires the images. There is no compression, no injections, and no preparation required beyond wearing comfortable clothing.

Total appointment time including check-in and any initial consultation is generally under an hour.

Who should consider QT Imaging?

QT Imaging is appropriate for any woman seeking advanced, radiation-free breast screening. It is particularly beneficial for:

  • Women with dense breast tissue where mammography has limited accuracy
  • Women with breast implants who need clearer imaging without distortion
  • Those seeking radiation-free alternatives for regular screening
  • Women with a personal or family history of breast cancer who want more thorough monitoring
  • Anyone looking for a more comfortable experience than traditional mammography

Your physician at LongevityRx will advise whether QT Imaging is the right choice for your specific situation and how it fits alongside other screening modalities.

Can QT Imaging replace my annual mammogram?

QT Imaging is designed to complement existing screening protocols. Whether it can serve as your primary screening tool depends on your individual clinical picture, risk factors, and your physician's guidance.

Many women use QT Imaging alongside or in place of mammography -- particularly those with dense tissue or implants where mammography underperforms. Your LongevityRx physician will help determine the screening approach best suited to your needs.
